Role

This will not be a paralegal role. This is a long term, part-time, on-site role for an Office Assistant with relatively flexible hours located in downtown Waukesha, Wisconsin. The Office Assistant will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, which may include answering phones, managing office equipment, and performing general office duties. They will also provide support to attorneys and the office manager/paralegal by managing correspondence, scheduling, organizing files, entering time into QuickBooks, and ensuring efficient office operations.

Pay and Hours

Approximately 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling (generally somewhere within the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday). Pay range is approximately $13-$17 per hour but will vary based on experience. No benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with clients and handling inquiries professionally
• Proficiency in administrative assistance and clerical skills to manage documents, scheduling, and other office-related tasks effectively
• Experience with office equipment operation, such as printers, scanners, and copiers
• Organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain an orderly office environment
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive legal information
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft 365)
• Prior experience in a legal office is a plus
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent - additional certifications in office administration are a plus
• Must be located in SE Wisconsin or willing to commute, as this is NOT a remote position
