Job Description

Salary: $52,000 - 83,200 per year Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in directional drilling or underground utility locating preferred.
  • Proficient in using locating systems (e.g., DigiTrak, Subsite) with a solid understanding of underground utility construction.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility maps.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain locating equipment to monitor drill head position and depth throughout directional drilling operations.
  • Interpret utility maps, plans, and job specifications to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Effectively communicate with drill operators and the crew to maintain correct bore paths and avoid conflicts with existing utilities.
  • Conduct pre-job site inspections and verify utility locates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve locating issues encountered in the field.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of bore paths and as-built records.
