Job Description

Salary: $52,000 - 83,200 per year Requirements:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in directional drilling or underground utility locating preferred.
Proficient in using locating systems (e.g., DigiTrak, Subsite) with a solid understanding of underground utility construction.
Capable of reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility maps.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain locating equipment to monitor drill head position and depth throughout directional drilling operations.
Interpret utility maps, plans, and job specifications to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Effectively communicate with drill operators and the crew to maintain correct bore paths and avoid conflicts with existing utilities.
Conduct pre-job site inspections and verify utility locates.
Troubleshoot and resolve locating issues encountered in the field.
Maintain accurate documentation of bore paths and as-built records.
